research goes into the planning of each and every tour.
From the selection of hotels and menus to daily activities
and everything in between, each detail is arranged so that
you can sit back, relax and enjoy yourself, knowing you
will be well taken care of by one of our experienced tour
leaders.
Our
tours include sightseeing wherever we visit, but the main
focus of each tour will be catering to your special interest.
Whether seeing private collections, attending a special
exhibit or taking classes with a well-known instructor,
you are sure to come home excited about your adventure and
ready to travel again with the many friends and acquaintances
that you will meet along the way.
The
first tour of 2008 will be for Miniature Enthusiasts
coming to Florida, the Sunshine State! The tour begins
in Orlando with visits to the Festival of Miniatures, The
Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, miniature shops
and private collections in the Orlando area. A special miniature
exhibit awaits us at the Lake Wales Depot Museum, prior
to visiting special collections, miniature shops and museums
in Sarasota and Naples.
Maggie
Jackson's Knitting Retreat to Ireland ~
Join Irish International award-winning knitwear designer
Maggie Jackson in her homeland for an exciting knitting
retreat visiting many of the places photographed in Maggies
Ireland Book. Throughout the tour you will be knitting with
traditional Irish Linen, on a project that is unique to
the trip.
Quilting
and
Needlecraft tours are planned to Hungary,
England and Hawaii! The Hungary quilting tour
is hosted by Magdi Csendes, International Rep for Hungary's
European Quilt Association. You will be meeting with local
quilt groups, seeing the famous Hungarian Blueprints made,
visit Hungary's wine region, fabric shop and much more!
If you are interested in needlepoint, embroidery, cross-stitch,
or any of the needlearts, our London and Manchester, England
tour is just for you! You'll attend the Knitting & Stitching
Show at Alexandra Palace in London, have classes that will
be hosted by Glorafilia and Coats Crafts UK, visit the Victoria
& Albert Museum, the Quarry Bank Mill and much more!
Join Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably for their
first quilting adventure in Hawaii, with visits on the Big
Island of Hawaii, Kauai and Oahu. You will have classes
with Kaffe and Brandon, meet with local quilt groups, attend
the Waimea Quilt Show, shop for lots of Hawaiian fabric
more!
Vogue
Knitting Magazine invites you to join them as they hobnob
with luminaries and major designers of the knitting world
on their tour to Toronto and Ottawa. Vogue Knitting and
Canadian yarn company, Needful Yarns will put on a fashion
show, showcasing the latest designs and trends, at a special
meeting with the Toronto Downtown Knit Collective. These
are just a few of the exciting visits that are planned,
in addition to an optional extension to Quebec City and
plenty of yarn shopping along the way... Don't
miss this fantastic opportunity!
